Cruising the French Riviera for 5 days
Last week, the Threlfall family and close friends came together for an unforgettable cruise along the French Riviera, all aboard my own beloved boat, Huahine. The journey began in the scenic harbor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, where the excitement was palpable as everyone gathered and boarded the boat, ready for adventure.
Sailing out into the sparkling Mediterranean, the first night found the group anchored in the enchanting bay of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Here, they savored a waterside dinner and took tranquil evening strolls along the pine-shaded coast, soaking up the serene, glamorous ambiance of the Riviera.
The following day, Huahine made its way to the colorful seaside town of Menton. That evening, everyone enjoyed a lively meal at Pizzeria La Pecora Negra—renowned for its flavorful, locally inspired pizzas and its warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The cruise continued west to Cap d’Antibes, stopping at the beautiful Plage Keller for their third night. Dinner with toes in the sand at Restaurant César offered fresh Mediterranean cuisine against a stunning sunset, with laughter echoing across the beach.
On their final day, the group sailed leisurely off the coast of Antibes. With the old town as their backdrop, they dropped anchor and plunged into the deep blue sea for a long, memorable swim. Floating in the warm, clear water and basking in the sun together, they created the perfect close to their Mediterranean adventure.
Throughout the week, every stop provided a new setting for shared meals, sunlit swims, and deepening camaraderie. Cruising the Côte d’Azur on Huahine turned these days on the water into lasting memories—a celebration of friendship, family, and the timeless beauty of the French Riviera.
