Meet Eric, Captain of Huahiné
At 60 years old, Eric embodies a unique journey: that of a former business executive who chose to set a new course in life by fully dedicating himself to his lifelong passion—sailing.
Dividing his time between Milan and Antibes, Eric now sails aboard Huahiné, his yacht, which has become both a place to live and a space for sharing knowledge, experiences, and meaningful connections.
Polyglot and open to the world, Eric speaks fluent French, English, and Italian, and also communicates with ease in Spanish. This linguistic and cultural richness naturally shapes life on board, where every encounter is, above all, a human experience.
Eric warmly welcomes those wishing to discover sailing and the beauty of the French Riviera, as well as other sailing areas he holds dear, such as Corsica, Sardinia, and more broadly the entire Mediterranean basin. Each outing is designed as a privileged moment, combining discovery, relaxation, and authenticity.
Beyond the miles sailed, Eric views the sea as a space for transmission and conviviality. A natural teacher—attentive, patient, and deeply passionate—he enjoys sharing sailing maneuvers, explaining the fundamentals of navigation, and allowing everyone on board to experience the true pleasure of sailing, always in complete safety. Aboard Huahiné, beginners and experienced sailors alike naturally find their place, in a warm atmosphere that respects each person’s rhythm.
Eric’s personal horizon is already set: crossing the Atlantic under sail by taking part in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), an ambitious project planned for the end of 2026. Until then, he invites you to come aboard for unique maritime experiences, where adventure blends seamlessly with elegance, simplicity, and the art of living at sea.
